For sale a luxurious villa situated under the pine trees of Nõmme in Tallinn, Estonia. The building, designed by architect Aivo Schults, is located on a beautiful axe-shaped lot with first-class landscaping (size of the lot: 943 m2). The lot is surrounded by a fence and is beautifully landscaped. The house was completed in 2011.
A spacious entryway, a living room, a kitchen-dining room, an airy terrace, a guest restroom, and a household space are all located on the ground floor of the building. One can find three bedrooms, a home office, a big balcony, a spacious walk-in dressing room, and a bathroom with a window – including a Jacuzzi, a shower, and a toilet – on the first floor. A home spa with a pool, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, shower rooms, and a toilet are situated in the basement. There is also a technical room, along with a pantry and storeroom, a garage, and a home wine cellar.
The interior of the whole house is designed with natural materials, from stone to wood; colours are warm and tranquil, giving a slightly oriental impression. The floor on the ground floor is covered with beautiful and practical engraved marble that is easy to clean, leaving no traces on its surface. Thanks to floor heating, the stone does not feel cold under one’s feet. The floors of other rooms are covered with parquet flooring (American walnut). A wood-burning fireplace gives a sense of comfort to the living room; the long stone fireplace shelf gives the impression of luxury. The whole house is decorated with an exotic pattern fragment that can be found on carved wooden closet doors (intarsia technique), engraved into the glass and metal surfaces, and in the plastered rear wall of the restroom on the spa floor; this motif is inspired by the Russian scarf. The basement of the house is as well-lighted as the two floors above, thanks to the architect’s inventive solution to make use of the hollow caused by the ramp by installing floor to ceiling windows. The emphasis of the home spa interior is put on the ceiling and lighting. Although the sauna is heated with electricity, its stones (200 kg) give the same effect as that of a wood-burning sauna heater. A heated ramp leads to the garage. One car can be parked in the garage and there is enough room for storing gardening tools inside. At least two more cars can be parked in the fenced yard.
Each room is equipped with a built-in music system, with loudspeakers and a well-designed lighting solution. The Italian “smart home” solution has been installed in the house.
